Leadership Development at Facebook

Situation

While experiencing rapid growth, Facebook recognized the importance of supporting senior leaders and executives with various offerings, including 1-1 Leadership Coaching.

Approach

Working closely with Facebook’s Leadership Development and Coaching Teams, Avadi Leaders directly coached directors, senior directors, and VPs in Engineering, Product, and Operations across all of Facebook, now Meta’s, platforms.

Using Facebook’s leadership framework, Clifton’s Strengths Assessment, leaders receive 12 virtual one-hour sessions with a coach to achieve 2-3 goals that are discussed and agreed upon with the coachee’s Manager and HRBP at the onset of the engagement. 

Avadi Leaders integrate DEI into all of our engagements to help leaders build inclusive teams.

Outcome

An anonymous post-coaching feedback survey completed by leaders in 2023 after working with April for 12 sessions showed the following:

“I was able to take effective action based on what I learned with coaching.”

In response to, “How likely are you to recommend your coach to others with similar needs?”

10/10 answered, “Very likely.”
